Verrucae needling is a minor surgical procedure performed under local anaesthetic for the permanent removal of stubborn verrucae and warts.
It is generally performed when other treatments haven’t worked and in 75% of patients only one treatment is necessary.
In 75% of cases only one treatment is required.
However 1 in 4 patients may require additional treatments depending on the success of the initial procedure and/or the number of verruca’s / warts to be treated.
With a few exceptions, most adults are suitable for verrucae needling. The only exceptions are those who have a medical contraindication to the anaesthetic or have poor wound healing.
Children are not suitable for this treatment.
